The company Sociedade Agrícola Serrinha da Cruz Lda was born in 1995, in Alijó a privileged area of the Portuguese Douro Valley. With a total area of 200 hectares. Created by Anselmo Araújo who, although being involved in other sectors of activity, developed a taste for agriculture through the creation of Sociedade Agrícola Serrinha da Cruz.
The company owns approximately 150 hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Alijó distributed by the parishes of Alijó, Castelo, Cotas, Vilarinho de Cotas, Vale de Mendiz and Favaios.
The vineyard consists of the red varieties: touriga franca, touriga nacional, tinta barroca, tinta roriz, tinto cão, sousão and tinta amarela. White grape varieties are: gouveio, viosinho, Galician muscat, chardonnay and malvasia fina.
In addition to the vineyard area, the company has a plantation area of 5.02 hectares of almond (varieties ferraduel, ferragnès and autóctone) in the parish of Pegarinhos, municipality of Alijó and 5.30 hectares of olive grove (varieties cobrançosa, galega, picual and arbequina) in the parish of Pegarinhos, municipality of Alijó. 1.54 hectares of olive grove (cobrançosa variety) and 0.19 hectares of orange grove (Tua variety) in the parish of Cotas, municipality of Alijó.

Departing from Porto, where the river flows and where the Douro (table wine) and Porto (fortified wine) also flow, to which we contribute with our qualified production.
